David L. Nichols earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his Masters and Doctor of Ministry from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he served as a member of the administration for many years. He has pastored four churches in Illinois and Michigan and is the author of three books: Understanding the Old Testament: A Narrative Summary (2008); Following Jesus: A Discipleship Manual (2010); and, Learning to Love Your Neighbor: Finding Your Place in God’s Plan to Fix a Broken World (2014). He is a passionate visionary who gets excited about new directions for old churches.
Robert Jordan is from Tell City, Indiana and is the son of Jerry and Dorothy Jordan. After completing a Bachelor of Music Education at the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington Indiana, Robert moved to Coldwater, Michigan to begin his teaching career. Following this, he began studying with Dr. Karl Schrock at Western Michigan University, where he received his Master of Music Degree in Organ Performance. Robert now teaches choral and instrumental music at Portage North Middle School and Portage Northern High School. Before his employment as Organist at First Baptist, he held organist positions at the First Presbyterian Church of Coldwater, MI, the Union Church of Quincy, MI, and St. Paul's Catholic Church of Tell City, IN spanning a career of over nineteen years as a church organist.
