Volunteers are the glue that holds FBC together!
They don't know it, but FBC's
volunteers are the best around. They give of themselves with no
complaints and with no expectations of anything in return. We think that
the volunteers at FBC are an exceptional group of men and women, and we
would like to acknowledge them with their own special page.
There are always many volunteer opportunities at FBC. If you are interested in spending some volunteer time with one or more ongoing projects, just give the church office a call; 345-2195
FBC's volunteers really made a difference at a recent Rummage Sale. Proceeds were applied to the new roof fund.

The Friendship Hall (in the basement of FBC) was in bad need of paint, and some general sprucing up repairs. Hannah McQuitty took on the project, as a Girl Scout honor award project, along with some friends and fellow Girl Scouts. Below are some pictures of the hard working crew!

Thanks Hannah for initiating this project!!!

Three of FBC's Youth, Ellen
VanderMyde and Hannah McQuity, with some help from Drew Johnson, spent
their entire Spring Vacation refurbishing the second floor nursery. They
not only painted the walls, but used their creative talents which
resulted in a beautiful, unique room for babies and small children to
visit while their parents worship on Sunday mornings.

Ellen created the trees and
flowers. Hannah paints the water. The girls pause for a photo!
Soup Kitchen ~ food donations to Ministry With Community
Every 2nd Tuesday of the month
numerous volunteers get together at FBC at 7:30 a.m. for "Soup Kitchen". They make
gallons of soup, prepare casseroles, and bake dozens of cookies and take them to
Ministry With Community to feed Kalamazoo's homeless and hungry.

New Year's Fest
brings FBC's volunteers out of the woodwork! FBC is one of the many
sites that provides entertainment and food to the general public every year. We
estimate more than 2000 people come through our doors. Volunteers help
usher people to one of the many programs held here at FBC, and then help get them to the next venue.
Volunteers sell food and drinks during and between shows.
FBC's youth bakes cookies and numerous volunteers work all day
on December 31st preparing the food. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!
